Color Rain is an abstract painting created through the repetitive act of letting paint fall like raindrops.
Countless dots accumulate across the surface, layering like rainfall to form a sense of time, rhythm, and sensory density. Viewed up close, each color exists independently; from a distance, however, they merge into what appears to be a single monochromatic field.
This work reveals the multiple layers and subtle vibrations hidden within a single color. The falling paint embodies both traces of chance and records of sustained, repetitive practice. As the dots overlap and permeate one another, they create a deep and immersive chromatic space.
Rather than depicting a specific form, the painting conveys the movement of light, air, and emotion. The rhythmic accumulation of droplets suggests the passage of time and the cadence of breathing.
Through the process of colors settling, merging, and condensing, I seek to create an invisible landscape of perception and feeling. Color Rain explores a painterly space in which countless particles of color gather and expand into a unified atmosphere and depth.

Memories and Tomorrow

The brushstrokes on the palette were passion and energy. They also become the artist's memories. We all carry countless memories, some of which are forgotten, and while we may spend times as gloomy as darkness, we also summon memories that shine like jewels.
To remember means that I exist in the present! And we are all thrown into time and space into an uncertain future.

기억 그리고 내일

파렛트 위의 붓놀림들은 열정이고 에너지 였다. 그것은 작가의 기억이 되기도 한다. 우리 모두는 수많은 기억과 함께 때로는 잊혀지는 것들이 있고, 암흑처럼 암울한 시간을 보내기도 하지만 보석처럼 빛나는 기억을 소환 하기도 한다.
기억 한다는 것은 현재 내가 존재 한다는 것! 그리고 불확실한 미래에 우리 모두는 시공간에 던져져 있다
가장 중요한 것은 세상 하나밖에 없는 내 자신의 존재인 것이고 자아 정체성. 삶의 주체는 본인인 것이다.
배경에 낙관을 그려 넣은 것은 바로 이런 맥락인 것이고 작가의 이름을 넣었지만 관람자는 본인의 이름으로 대입 시키면 각자의 존재는 특별하게 와 닿을 것이다.
특히 이 작품은 캔버스에 서양 물감과 동양의 한지와 먹을 함께 사용 함으로서 동서양의 장르를 넘나들며 화합의 의미가 충분한 작품이다

As I live through this time, I reveal my emotions too quickly and pour them outward.
Some emotions lose their form the moment they are expressed.
But through the process of working, I try to keep a certain distance from those emotions.
Rather than pouring them out, I place them inside a transparent space (box) and quietly look at them.
So that they do not disappear.
The spaces, flowers, plants, objects, and living beings that appear in my work are not physically isolated or trapped.
They are images of emotions becoming clearer in a state separated from the outside by a voluntary choice of isolation.
To me, holoum is not loneliness.
It is about quietly speaking of the radiance of time spent alon

Words in Bloom reinterprets the aesthetics of traditional seal engraving through a contemporary lens.
The countless small wooden pieces symbolize independent worlds, each carrying a person’s life, memories, and unspoken stories.
Just as the growth rings of a tree record the traces of time, the letters and symbols carved into each wooden piece capture individual journeys and emotions. They also serve as a medium that connects personal identity with social relationships. Through this symbolism, I sought to visualize the relationship between personal traces and the larger structure of society.
Each wooden piece exists as an independent entity while also becoming part of a larger, organic composition. The bright and dark colors express the broad emotional spectrum of human life — from joy and hope to sorrow and solitude. The Korean color sensibility reminiscent of saekdong adds warmth, rhythm, and cultural resonance to the work.
Each piece holds its own story, and together they form a panorama of life. This work conveys the message that all lives are interconnected, and that their traces come together to bloom into the language and memory of life.

This work, <Full Moon> is an attempt at cultural fusion that crosses the boundary between East and West by recreating a Joseon white porcelain moon jar, which has an outstanding Korean aesthetic, with the fluid colors of Western painting. The Korean Wave proves that the most Korean can be the most global, but I believe that scalability can only be guaranteed by acquiring global universality. Just as a new culture is created when cultures mix, I feel like I have achieved inner freedom by expressing the moon jar with the colors and textures of oil paint.

Kwooni Shin

The artist, Kwooni Shin used oriental colors and ink to reveal the texture of Hanji on the campus, so that he tried to take advantage of the physical properties of Hanji as a medium and to express it in a modern formative language. 
This new creative artwork was born through the process of rearranging, layering and coloring Hanji. 

This is an attempt to capture the vitality of nature by reinterpreting Hanji from a new perspective as it is purity and nature-friendly, which were originally the material characteristics of Hanji. The layers of Hanji are traces of our time, intended to reveal the vitality of repeated life found in nature. In addition, repetition and overlap testify to numerous different memories and meanings. 

He wanted to allow us to experience them in a synesthetic form.

I began to paint as I entered the third act of my life. My work starts with a unique sensation—the feeling of standing right on the threshold between the time that has already passed and the time yet to come. This is why I title this journey and my current body of work, <Act3, Scene2>.
The colors and textures appearing on my canvas do not describe a specific landscape or place. Instead, they evoke the fading light of the day, the afterimages left by the seasons, and the lingering atmosphere of memories. To me, the textured surface of the canvas is not just a flat plane, but a physical space where the sediment of time settles and layers over itself.
By tracing these marks left on the surface, I find myself imagining the next season and the next scene of my life. These works are not merely representations of nature; they are a silent record of the gravity of time. Through this artistic process, the fleeting passage of time is transformed into a tangible, visual record—a testament to the enduring beauty of lingering remnants.

Gallery EYN is located in a Kangnam and committed to introduce contemporary art. We first established gallery Art&Space312 in 2014 to introduce Korean and foreign artists through exhibitions and art fair. In 2022, we restarted as Gallery EYN to respond to contemporary art and the rapidly changing art market. We aim to discover young artists and to create their discourse for their work activities through various domestic and foreign exhibitions and art fairs. In addition, we want to serve as a hub in the art ecosystem. Gallery EYN strives to communicate with the public through art to make an environment where anyone can enjoy art in their lives. And EYN wants to introduces world-class contemporary artists to Korea, and at the same time promotes Korean art (artists) to advance into overseas stages. So we are working to build a foundation and want to publicize the continued growth and potential of Korean art in the domestic and foreign art markets.
